The Three Kings Popular Race in Jerez is a charity event organised by CA Beiman Chapín Jerez, the Andalusian Athletics Federation and the Association of the Three Kings of Jerez. This year’s edition will take place on 28 December as part of the “No child without a toy” campaign.
Runners of all ages can take part in 17 categories, with distances ranging from 200 and 600 metres for the youngest athletes to 1 km and the flagship 5 km race for adults. The 5 km course sets off near the 2002 building, continues along Avenida Rafa Verdú, Chema Rodríguez and Lola Flores, loops around the Biarritz roundabout and finishes on the Laura Delgado “Bimba” meadow at Chapín. Entry fees cost €5 for the adult categories and €3 for the younger categories, and bib numbers can be collected up to one hour before the start.
Trophies are awarded to the top three finishers in each category of the 5 km race, while medals go to the top three in the children’s races. The organisers hope to exceed 500 registrations and encourage local clubs, associations and families to join in – you can run or walk because the objective is to participate and support the “No child without a toy” appeal.
Ending the year with sport and solidarity is the biggest prize for the organisers and the Three Kings. Join this festive 5 km and help ensure every boy and girl in Jerez receives a gift this Christmas.
