Athens Marathon 2025
The event known as the Authentic Athens Marathon gives runners the chance to recreate the legendary journey of Pheidippides: it starts in the small town of Marathon and finishes at the Panathinaikó stadium in Athens. In 2025 it attracted thousands of runners from over a hundred countries, and the race was dominated by home‑grown athletes.

AVA Media Marathon of Callao 2025
On the Peruvian port of La Punta, the AVA Media Marathon of Callao offered 21 km and 10 km distances in a historic setting by the sea. More than 3 000 runners lined up to enjoy the event organised by Perú Runners.

The coastal city of Mar del Plata hosted another edition of the NB 21K, part of the New Balance Race Series. The event also offered 10 km and 5 km races. Around 5 000 runners set off from Playa Grande, making it one of Argentina’s most popular half marathons.

La Paz, Bolivia, staged the Media Marathon of the South on a challenging course between La Florida and Huajchilla at over 3 300 m altitude. Organised by Club de Triatlón La Paz, the race drew hundreds of runners despite the steep gradients and lack of oxygen.
