New Bay Solidarity Race and Walk 2025
On November 16, the Marisma de los Toruños and Pinar de la Algaida Metropolitan Park will host the New Bay Popular Race and Solidarity Walk, an event that combines sport and charity in a unique natural setting. The local NGO Nueva Bahía is organising an 8-kilometre course for more competitive runners and a 6-km walk open to everyone.
Schedule and categories
The day will begin with the walk at 10:00 a.m., followed at 10:15 by the race, which will be contested in six men’s categories and five women’s categories. The route runs along dirt paths and wooden boardwalks, making it ideal for those seeking a moderate challenge without straying too far from nature.
Registration and bib numbers
Registration costs €10 for the race and €6 for the walk, with a participant limit to ensure safety and enjoyment. The deadline for signing up is November 14 via the Andalusian Athletics Federation website or the Nueva Bahía site. Bib numbers can be collected on Saturday 15 in the afternoon in Los Toruños Park or on the day of the event before the start.
Awards and family atmosphere
All participants will receive a commemorative cap and, in the case of walkers, a finisher medal. There will be trophies for the top three in each category and a special recognition for the oldest person to cross the finish line. The proceeds will go to Nueva Bahía’s social projects, so every stride will help improve the lives of those most in need.
This event is a perfect opportunity to enjoy a morning of outdoor sport with friends and family, support a charitable cause and discover one of Cádiz’s most beautiful parks.
