Cross Patrón de Lorca 2025: Castle climb
On Sunday, 16 November, Lorca will once again vibrate with one of its most emblematic events. The Cross Patrón de Lorca – Castle Climb celebrates its 47th edition as the start of the 24th Local Race Circuit and offers a 4.5‑kilometre route that begins in Plaza Calderón and climbs up to the castle.
Course and categories
The course winds through the streets of the historic centre and finishes with a demanding climb to the fortress, combining speed and endurance. Categories are available from youth to veteran runners, as well as a local classification for residents of Lorca. Registration costs only €3 and can be done through the Club Atletismo Sur Neumáticos website until the Friday before the race.
Scoring and prizes
As the first race of the 2024/25 circuit, all participants will score points from this and the following seven races; to be eligible for the final prizes you must complete at least five of them. The prizes include hams for the top three overall, a batch of ham for the club with the highest participation and trophies and sports equipment vouchers for the local classification.
