A race with history and a solidarity spirit<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Vueling Cursa Bombers will celebrate its 26th edition on Sunday 9 November 2025. Born in the late 1990s as a charity run in support of the Barcelona firefighters, it has become one of Catalonia\u2019s most popular 10\u2011kilometre events. In 2024 it raised more than \u20ac50,000 for social projects and this year it sold out rapidly, with more than 18,000 bibs gone in record time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Restoring the classic course<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The big novelty for 2025 is the return to the original route. The start and finish will again be at the Estaci\u00f3 de Fran\u00e7a and, after a few metres along Avinguda Marqu\u00e8s de l\u2019Argentera, runners will head up Via Laietana, recovering the urban essence of the race. The 10\u2011km course will once again showcase some of the city\u2019s most emblematic spots: Passeig de Colom and the waterfront with harbour views, Gran Via up to Marina and Pla\u00e7a de les Gl\u00f2ries, Passeig de Sant Joan and the Arc de Triomf. Thousands of spectators will line these avenues to cheer the runners \u2013 especially the firefighters who compete in full gear. The presence of the Bombers is the hallmark of the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
An experience for everyone<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Although registrations are sold out, the atmosphere invites everyone to enjoy the running party from the sidelines. Choose your favourite section of the course to applaud and soak up the energy of the sea of runners. There will be entertainment zones and music in several neighbourhoods to turn the Cursa Bombers into a huge civic festival. If you can\u2019t make it to the city centre, the BCN Esports Instagram channel will stream the race live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Solidarity and sustainability<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Besides sporting adrenaline, the Cursa Bombers keeps its solidarity vocation. Part of the proceeds is donated each year to social and educational projects. The race also embraces sustainability, with technical shirts made from recycled materials and a cleaning scheme that minimises its impact on the streets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
