Women\u2019s Race 2025: the pink tide prepares to flood Barcelona and Seville<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Women\u2019s Race is more than a sporting event: it\u2019s a solidarity tour that travels through Spain\u2019s main cities to support breast cancer research and promote women\u2019s sport. The 2025 circuit started in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria on 23 March and will visit Valencia (30 March), Madrid (11 May), Vitoria\u2013Gasteiz (1 June), Gij\u00f3n (8 June), A Coru\u00f1a (28 September) and Zaragoza (19 October), before closing the season in Barcelona (16 November) and Seville (23 November).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In each city thousands of runners wearing the official pink shirt take part in a 7 km course whose aim is to raise funds and awareness in the fight against breast cancer. The 2024 edition brought together more than 100,000 women across Spain; 2025 aims to surpass that figure thanks to sponsors and volunteers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The penultimate event of the circuit will take place in Barcelona on 16 November 2025. The start will be next to Estaci\u00f3 de Fran\u00e7a on Avinguda Marqu\u00e8s de l\u2019Argentera, and the course winds past iconic places: along the port via Passeig de Colom and Avinguda Josep Carner; across the bustling Paral\u00b7lel before climbing up Ronda Sant Pau and Urgell; along Gran Via turning at Marina past the Gl\u00f2ries area; and finally returning to the finish via Ausi\u00e0s March, Passeig de Sant Joan, Av. Vilanova, Passeig de Llu\u00eds Companys, Buenaventura Mu\u00f1oz and Wellington before ending again on the seafront.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Participants are encouraged to arrive by public transport (Arc de Triomf or Barceloneta metro) and access the start via Passeig de Llu\u00eds Companys and Passeig Picasso because many streets will be closed to traffic. The organisers provide refreshment points and entertainment along the course to make the race a party from start to finish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One week later, on 23 November 2025, the Women\u2019s Race will debut in Seville with a 7 km route through the historic centre and along the Guadalquivir. The Andalusian capital will welcome the pink tide for the first time and promises a unique atmosphere with performances, family activities and awareness-raising workshops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Every entry includes the official T-shirt and a solidarity bib; part of the fee goes to research projects and support programmes for breast cancer patients. The event also features a sports fair with nutrition stands, gear and talks, as well as the Mini Women\u2019s Race for children, which is non\u2011competitive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
